Assisting associations and individual clients such as hospitals and universities in helping them develop and execute strategies to advocate for increased funding for priority programs or to forestall significant program funding reductions in the proposed federal budget or during the appropriations process.  In 2011, issues included higher education/student aid, medical profession training, scientific and technological research, and medical device procurement, among others.
