Arent Fox partner Bernice Leber, who is currently serving as president of the New York State Bar Association,has been published in this week's issue of the New York Law Journal Magazine. Bernice's analysis piece, “Are Law Firms Gender Neutral?: Assessing whether the current structure holds women back,” explores some of the numerous theories that have been advanced to explain the small number of women and minority partners in law firms.

“Studies show there are four primary reasons for gender disparity: differences in compensation; positions of leadership in law firms; dual partnership tracks; and a broad category of what I refer to as career management,” Bernice writes.
