New After Hours Video Podcast on the NLRB's New Union Organizing Reform Initiatives
The National Labor Relations Board has had a very busy December 2011. On December 21, the Board took a final vote to pass its currently revised version of union election case procedures, as an amendment to the Code of Federal Regulations. This was the culmination of the Board’s original proposed rulemaking in June 2011, which had generated more than 65,000 comments. Join Harry as he discusses how employers should prepare for the implementation of the revised final rules on April 30, 2012 and the legal challenges to them. Harry focuses on the advantages that these rules give to unions starting new election campaigns against employers, and the consequent need to be proactive with employee relations in 2012. Harry also covers the new Board notice poster, which has just been further delayed to April 30, the same date as the implementation of the final election rules. Harry hopes you will join him for an overview of how to handle these challenges in the upcoming year, with a downloadable PDF as well.
