Arent Fox Partners Connie Raffa and Rachel Hold-Weiss will present on two topics titled: “Legal Aspects of Marketing: Advantages, Consequences and How the Affordable Care Act is Changing the Way Things Are Done” and “Compliance – It Matters.”

The Legal Aspects of Marketing session will identify marketing practices that are OIG compliance risk areas and/or cost report issues, identify who is policing illegal marketing practices and sanctions that can be imposed, and describe good marketing practices, compliance strategies and where to get help.

The Compliance session will describe OIG, RAC, and ZPIC risk areas and compliance solutions, identify government entities that enforce compliance actions, discuss recent ZPIC and RAC hospice audits, and describe criminal, civil, and administrative sanctions as well as address the seven elements of a compliance program.
