Arent Fox partner Linda Baumann will be speaking at the New Jersey Hospital Association on October 29, 2007. She will present an instructional session on the new Stark regulations, titled “Hospital-Physician Relationships: Stark Realities.”

The new Stark Phase III regulations are scheduled to go into effect on December 4, 2007.

After a very brief “refresher” on the Stark Law’s prohibitions and operation, this program will help hospital officials understand the new Stark requirements, how to evaluate whether their arrangements with physicians implicate the law and, if so, what to do about it. This session also will provide practical guidance on how to structure arrangements in the future to reduce the risk of liability.
