Partner Rachel Hold-Weiss will present on two topics titled: “The Hospice/Nursing Home Partnership in Caring for the Terminally Ill” and “Legal Aspects of Marketing for Home Health Agencies and Hospices.”

The Hospice/Nursing Home Partnership in Caring for the Terminally Ill session will compare and contrast the regulatory environment in which hospices and nursing homes operate, especially with respect to contract requirements, reimbursement pitfalls, the differing roles of the medical directors, and patient admission and goals for care.

The Legal Aspects of Marketing for Home Health Agencies and Hospices session will review common marketing activities, marketing areas that are a concern and a focus of government scrutiny, and provide legal guidance regarding improper practices. The goal is to alert and assist home health agencies and hospices regarding compliance.
