Arent Fox partner Leslie Mitchell will be co-organizing the “Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition” in New York for her 7th year. The International Trademark Association has hosted this competition on trademark and unfair competition law for United States law students for the past 17 years. Students are expected to write a brief and argue a case in regional and national competitions before a panel of volunteer attorneys, jurists from the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit (CAFC), the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the USPTO, and judges from various districts and courts. The objective is to expose the students to important issues arising in the United States trademark and unfair law as well as give them the opportunity to develop their brief writing and oral advocacy skills in a mock courtroom experience.
