Kay Georgi will be speaking at the Singapore Summit on Export Controls Compliance. This conference will focus on integrating multi-jurisdictional requirements into a robust global export controls program by looking at challenges in the United States, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Europe, Singapore and Malaysia. Some of the issues that Kay will specifically touch on are: understanding what constitutes deemed export and deemed re-export under US law and Japan law; what US law defines as “dual” and “third country” nationals; and securing appropriate license approvals for short-term hires of foreign/dual nationals or hires for a limited set of tasks.
