Arent Fox’s Michael Burton, a partner in the firm’s international trade practice, was quoted in a February 24, 2012 article in Main Justice titled “US Sees Growing Threat from Sham Buyers Skirting Export Laws.” Michael notes how front companies have made it increasingly difficult for US companies to determine who will be the end-user of their products and that these US companies need to show they have done their due diligence.
