Arent Fox’s Robert C. O’Brien, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, was quoted in Daily Journal – California’s leading legal publication – discussing the important role played by lawyer representatives to the 9th Circuit Judicial Conference. Lawyer representatives attend the annual Central District and 9th Circuit judicial conferences, serve on subcommittees that promote interests of the district, and actively participate in 9th Circuit committees, working to achieve the goals of the federal courts and practitioners in them.

“Notwithstanding our current economic challenges, it is critical that the courthouse facilities in Los Angeles be improved and that our judges are fairly compensated for the difficult work they undertake,” said Mr. O’Brien. “Lawyer representatives are actively involved in bringing these important issues and others to the attention of Congress.”
