On November 9, Arent Fox’s Craig Engle, head of the firm’s Political Law Group, will be addressing the Supreme Electoral Court of Brazil and a projected audience of 3,000 academics, journalists, international observers, and government officials (including those watching on television and the Internet) at the high court’s international conference on election law to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Craig will discuss the application of the Electoral College and the equal protection provisions of the US Constitution to federal elections, with a special emphasis on the methods of recounts and contested elections, such as in Bush v. Gore.
