Arent Fox LLP Announces 2010 Promotions

    WASHINGTON, DC — January 7, 2010 — Arent Fox LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York City and Los Angeles, has announced promotions of five (5) lawyers at the firm.

    The following attorneys were promoted to partner, effective January 1, 2010:

    George P. Angelich, is a partner in the bankruptcy and financial restructuring group, where he focuses on corporate reorganization and bankruptcy matters. He represents committees of unsecured creditors, secured creditors, indenture trustees, bondholder and noteholder groups, and other entities in bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation proceedings. Prior to joining Arent Fox, George served as a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur J. Gonzalez, US Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Cecelia G. Morris, US Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.  

    Kristine J. Dunne, is a counsel in the labor and employment group. She focuses her practice in the area of employment, OSHA and education matters. Kristine regularly counsels for-profit and not-for-profit employers on employment and other compliance issues. She represents clients in litigation matters before federal, state and local courts and agencies. She also has advises primary, secondary and higher education institutions and organizations regarding education, employment and other compliance matters. Kristine received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2000, her Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1995, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College in 1989.

    Matthew Kanna, is a partner in the international trade group. He focuses on international trade litigation, specifically antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission. Matthew received his law degree from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in 1997. Before entering private practice, Matthew served as a law clerk to Judge Antonio Mario La Pergola at the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg (2001-2002).

    Jason Mazur, is a partner in the intellectual property group. He focuses on all aspects of trademark law, including portfolio management, counseling, brand development, prosecution, enforcement, and licensing, both domestically and abroad. In addition, he counsels clients in various areas of copyright, advertising, and unfair competition laws. Jason received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2001 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1997.

    Diana Quaia, a partner in the international trade group, focuses on US regulation of international trade. She represents foreign and domestic clients in trade litigation matters before the US Department of Commerce, the US International Trade Commission, US Customs and Border Protection, the Office of the US Trade Representative, the Court of International Trade and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Diana received her law degree from Bucharest University Law School in 1996 and her LLM from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997.
