Arent Fox Partner Baruch Weiss Profiled in Washington Jewish Week
Washington Jewish Week, a weekly newspaper covering issues affecting the Jewish communities of Washington, DC, Maryland and northern Virginia, recently published an in-depth profile of Arent Fox partner Baruch Weiss.
The article, “Man on a Mission: Baruch Weiss and the Search for Justice” explores Baruch’s journey from Harvard Law School to the US Departments of Justice, Treasury and Homeland Security to the law offices of Arent Fox LLP. The reader learns how the son of Holocaust survivors helped persuade the US Court of Appeals to uphold the convictions of the terrorists who bombed the World Trade Center in 1993.
Washington Jewish Week also takes a look at Baruch’s current representation of former American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) employee in a highly controversial government espionage prosecution that The Washington Post editorial page has sharply criticized as a “dangerous aggrandizement of the government's power” in its efforts to impose secrecy in the name of national security on private citizens.
