MAY 7, 2012 — Arent Fox’s Ross Buntrock, who leads the firm’s Communications, Technology & Mobile group, was quoted in a recent Bloomberg BNA article titled “Marketers, Verizon Support Soundbite’s Bid by FCC Help in TCPA Text Messaging Suits.”

In the article, Ross comments on the recent Federal Communications Commission’s request for comments on a petition by Soundbite — a global leader in on-demand, multi-channel Proactive Customer Communications — involving opt-out confirmation text messages.

Ross, who is identified in the article as outside counsel for the Mobile Marketing Association as well as a partner at Arent Fox, told Bloomberg BNA, “A favorable outcome for SoundBite wouldn't be dispositive, but I would be surprised if the court didn't give the FCC a great deal of deference.”
