Flowe Named Vice Chair of New ABI Committee

    WASHINGTON—April 24, 2006— Carol Connor Flowe has been named vice chair of the newly formed Pension and Benefits Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute.  ABI has more than 20 active committees and task forces that focus on specific projects and issues important to all areas of bankruptcy.

    Committee members convene at ABI's two national conferences and throughout the year. Committee members are actively involved in planning educational programs for ABI's popular conferences, putting together committee e-newsletters on relevant topics and talking about committee issues and other news on the popular ABI-hosted listserves. Many committees have produced valuable publications on a variety of topics such as consumer bankruptcy, preferences, creditors' committees and first-day motions.
