WASHINGTON, DC — MAY 11, 2011 — Arent Fox LLP announced today that G. Michael Bellinger has joined the firm’s litigation practice as a partner in its New York office. Mr. Bellinger’s practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, employment law, and complex commercial litigation.

“We are delighted that Michael has joined us at Arent Fox,” said Michael Blass, managing partner of the firm’s New York office. “With a career that spans 25 years in both the public and private sectors -- including time as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office serving as staff counsel to the New York State Commission on Government Integrity -- he brings a remarkable depth and breadth of litigation experience to our firm and our clients.”
At Arent Fox, Mr. Bellinger will continue to provide counseling and trial representation in criminal, complex commercial disputes, alleged Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and corporate governance matters, to Fortune 500 companies, corporate executives, investment bankers, physicians, and other professionals in a variety of industries. His practice will also focus on conducting internal corporate investigations involving inquiries by government and regulatory agencies such the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York State’s Attorney General, Inspector General and Public Integrity Offices.
“Michael is a tremendous addition to our team,” said Terree Bowers, who heads Arent Fox’s White Collar and Government Investigations Practice, and who formerly served as the US Attorney for the Central District of California. “His versatility, experience, and talent provide added strength to our national white collar practice, which already includes some of the most respected litigators in the country, including Mark Radke, in Washington, DC, who served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the SEC, former Assistant US Attorney Mary Carter Andrues in Los Angles, who headed the Public Corruption Section in California’s Central District, and Peter Unger, also in Washington, DC, whose practice focuses on representing parties in investigations and litigations conducted primarily by the SEC. With Michael joining us in New York, we are building one of the most formidable white collar defense teams in the nation and a practice group that offers truly exceptional legal representation and counsel.”
