He specializes in patent litigation, both from the enforcement side and the defense side. He has worked with a wide range of technologies and disciplines, including semiconductor fabrication, consumer electronic products, and microprocessor design. Client Work Tony has represented clients before the federal district courts all over the United States including the District of Columbia, the Eastern District of Virginia, the Eastern District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, and the Northern and Central Districts of California. He has also represented clients in the International Trade Commission. He is experienced in all aspects of litigation including enforcement readiness, discovery, claim construction hearings, and trial. Tony also has extensive experience with complex PTO proceedings including reissue, reexamination, and interferences. He advises clients on issues pertaining to intellectual property enforcement, litigation strategy, and settlement. He is also experienced in licensing and transactional due diligence. Previous Work After law school, Tony was a law clerk and technical advisor to the Honorable Giles S. Rich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. After starting his career in patent procurement, he now has more than twenty years of experience as a patent litigator both at a patent boutique and also at a large international law firm. Professional Activities Tony is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center where he has taught advanced patent law since 1996. He is a former member of the Board of Editors of the AIPLA Quarterly Journal and has contributed to a recent volume on the AIA, the new patent law now taking effect. Publications, Presentations and Recognitions While in law school, Tony was on the Georgetown University Law Journal and graduated cum laude. He has lectured extensively on various topics pertaining to patent law including to the Intellectual Property Owners Organization, the ABA Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Section, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Rochester Patent Law Association. He was also qualified as a professional in U.S. patent law in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division in London. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers magazines in the field of intellectual property for the past five years.
