Provides legal advice to the preeminent automobile financing company in Mexico with respect to its business within the U.S., and the marketing of its financial packages to Mexican nationals residing in the United States. Defended law firm in disability, race and gender discrimination litigation, successfully mediated case and secured favorable settlement. Defended national quick-serve Chinese food restaurant in sexual harassment litigation, successfully mediated case and secured favorable settlement. Defended U.S. based subsidiary of Mexican financing company in sexual harassment litigation and negotiated favorable settlement. Defended national quick-serve fried chicken restaurant before California’s Labor Commissioner for failure to pay final wages and successfully reduced plaintiffs damages. First chaired a federal court action under 42 U.S.C. 1983 for use of excessive force against the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department on a pro bono basis on behalf of an incarcerated prisoner and negotiated favorable settlement. Initiated state court action on behalf of Mexican financial institution to recover multi-million dollar debt; successfully garnished the accounts of two Mexican defendant corporations, and secured favorable resolution of case. Thomas Greene in the US District Court for the District of Utah. She also worked in the general counsel’s office of the University of Utah, where her caseload emphasized a wide spectrum of higher education employment matters, including Title VII race and gender discrimination, faculty tenure and labor unions. Professional Activities Jennifer is a certified TAP Attorney/Volunteer Prosecutor through the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and is an active member of the Pro Bono Panel for the United States District Court, Central District of California. She also has provided pro bono assistance to individuals in connection with removal proceedings from the United States under the immigration laws of the U.S. Jennifer serves as the Board Nominating Chair for the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
