Prior to joining Arent Fox, Jonas was an associate with a boutique Southern California law firm and has worked as a patent attorney involving patent prosecution in software, electrical, and mechanical arts.

After earning his master’s degree in electrical engineering, Jonas entered a PhD program in applied mathematics but left after one year to accept a position with Motorola, where he worked as an electrical and software engineer. After a number of years there, Jonas joined Intel, where he designed and wrote software for electrical engineering applications.
