Over the past 35 years, Robert’s practice has focused on strategic planning, financial, legal, and tax analysis on behalf of commercial and residential real estate developers, owners, and operators. That experience includes the development of strategic plans, the documentation and implementation of debt and equity, financing of real estate through private placement of equity securities, conventional debt financing, securitized debt financing, tax-exempt and taxable bond offerings and refundings, government-guaranteed and insured loan programs, and privately guaranteed and insured loan programs. He has participated in the formation of limited liability companies, partnerships, and joint ventures between developers and institutional investors in connection with the development and ownership of large-scale, mixed-use projects and with the investment in portfolios of office and retail properties.
In the corporate arena, Robert has represented clients in the formation of partnerships and joint ventures for the creation, development and exploitation of various technologies, including electronic commerce, new materials, computer hardware and software. He has also represented clients in connection with business acquisitions, mergers and dispositions in the fields of banking, agriculture, transportation, gaming, and entertainment.
