Barb has extensive experience in the representation of institutional and private equity investors and developers in the complex structuring of real estate limited partnerships and limited liability companies. She represents such clients in the acquisition, financing, recapitalization, development, management, leasing and sale of multifamily projects, hotels, shopping centers, mixed-use projects, automobile dealership facilities, and office and industrial projects. Her real estate work also includes representation of borrowers and lenders in senior and mezzanine structured finance transactions and workouts, and representation of landlords and tenants in the management and leasing of retail, office, automobile dealership, and industrial properties.

Before joining Arent Fox in 2000, Barb served as law clerk to the Honorable Warren R. King of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and worked as an associate at prominent national and DC law firms.
