Lauren Tabak Fass is a senior health care associate in the New York office. Her particular expertise involves counseling clients on both the transactional and regulatory matters in a health care transaction. Lauren has worked with a wide range of providers and suppliers, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, general and specialty hospitals, home health and hospice providers, dialysis companies, and durable medical equipment suppliers. Lauren handles corporate transactions in the health care industry on behalf of providers, investors and lenders. She advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures involving both asset and stock transactions. She also assists providers and lenders in various financing transactions including revolving loan, asset-based financing, and HUD financing. Lauren also represents clients in connection with the purchase, sale, leasing, and development of real estate for health care facilities. Lauren also advises clients on facility and professional licensing, certificate of need, fraud and abuse, corporate practice, health privacy and security, contracting, and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement issues. Previous WorkDuring law school, Lauren was a research fellow at the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission. While at the School of Foreign Service, she served as an African trade specialist at the Office of the US Trade Representative and interned at the National Security Council in the Office of African Affairs. Professional ActivitiesLauren is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association.
