David is in the Government Relations Group, where he serves as a professional treasurer and campaign finance officer to Arent Fox PAC, candidate committees, Super PACs, political action committees, other 527 organizations, and nonprofit organizations.

He oversees the startup and administrative operations for political law clients. He is skilled at working with federal and state agencies to establish political committees. David designs customized, detailed compliance systems for precise and timely reporting. He manages a team of professionals who process and control all receipts and disbursements, maintain confidential financial records in accordance with FEC and IRS law, correspond with donors and vendors as necessary, and prepare quarterly and semi-annual reports as required by the FEC, IRS, and state governments.

He serves as the manager and custodian of record to Arent Fox’s political action committee, AFPac. He directs daily operations, maintains record-keeping, and organizes fundraising events hosted by the PAC. David collaborates with the PAC treasurer on development and implementation of a solicitation and fundraising strategy.

Previous Work

Before joining Arent Fox, David spent two years as deputy finance director and finance manager for US Senator Arlen Specter’s reelection campaign. As a senior member of the finance office, he maintained detailed accounting of all contributions and disbursements for FEC reporting purposes, as well as oversaw the accounts receivable and payable functions. He also organized and managed fundraising operations in Washington, DC and national direct mail projects.

David also worked as a legislative correspondent for US Senator William H. Frist during his tenure as Senate Majority Leader in 2006. He covered issues pertaining to communications, education, government affairs, and the judiciary.

Life Beyond the Law

Among his outside activities, David volunteers with The Fund for American Studies as a student mentor and participates in Get Out The Vote efforts each election year. He enjoys reading political biographies and going to the gym.
