Susie advises a broad range of health care clients, including hospitals, health systems, medical groups, health plans, local government entities, and long-term care facilities in regulatory and business transactional matters.

Prior to joining Arent Fox, Susie spent several years with the largest public agency health plan in the nation, where she advised top leadership on regulatory and strategic issues, negotiated and prepared contracts, and provided legal services on a variety of health care and business matters, involving Medi-Cal managed care, business arrangements, the health care safety net, public agency considerations, and legislative topics. Prior to this experience, Susie worked in the legal department of a major medical center, and has experience in national law firms in their health care regulatory and business practice groups.

Susie is also a registered nurse. Prior to practicing law, she served as Team Leader in the Adult Surgical Unit, and also practiced in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, of a world-class academic medical center in Los Angeles.

Susie is a member of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

In her spare time Susie enjoys training and competing with her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She also enjoys photography, sketching, and hiking.
