Jeff Craft is a consulting attorney in the Intellectual Property Department in the Los Angeles office. His primary focus is on intellectual property portfolio management, licensing, preparation and prosecution, litigation and counseling, both domestically and abroad.

Client Work

In practice for more than 25 years, Jeff has gained substantial experience in advising clients about intellectual property strategies, as well as the development and implementation of intellectual property portfolios; drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent, trademark, and copyright applications; negotiating and drafting licenses, consulting, research, nondisclosure, and related agreements; preparing patent infringement, patent validity, freedom to use and due diligence opinions; preparing IPO documents; managing, litigating (trial and appellate), and mediating patent, trademark, and unfair competition matters; as well as providing expert witness services.

Jeff has represented clients from individuals, to startups to midsized companies, to Fortune 100 companies in technical areas including small molecules, biologics, polymers, fibers, performance materials, catalysts, food and agricultural chemicals, medical devices, semiconductors, wireless communications, optical devices, digital signal processing, lasers, solid electrolyte batteries, fuel cells, photoresist systems, injection molding, packaging, and waste treatment.

Previous Work

Jeff has experience in both corporate and law firm practices. Prior to joining Arent Fox, Jeff was a partner at a nationally recognized intellectual property boutique. He began his career with a large chemical corporation and has served as director of intellectual property for a startup.
