Roberta provides patent portfolio counseling, enforcement and management for a variety of clients ranging from foreign and domestic multinational companies to technology startups. In addition, she has counseled clients on mergers and acquisitions. She has experience in advising clients about intellectual property strategies, drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patents, and preparing patent infringement and due diligence opinions. She has counseled clients in technical areas including telecommunications and wireless communications (CDMA, WCDMA, WLAN, WiMAX, TDMA, Broadcast, and MIMO-OFDM), biometric data collection, military optics, mosaic sensors, video game technology, medical devices, semiconductors, lasers, interferometry and sub-wavelength devices.

Prior to joining Arent Fox, Roberta was a senior associate at a nationally recognized intellectual property boutique. She was also patent counsel to one of the largest digital wireless communications companies in the world, and has also worked as an engineering manager for a major defense contractor.

Roberta is a member of the American Bar Association, the San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE.)

Roberta is fluent in French and Russian. She enjoys figure skating, skiing, surfing, and classical piano. She also enjoys showing her purebred dogs.
