Courtenay has experience enforcing IP rights through trademark and copyright infringement litigation and TTAB proceedings, and handling intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions including negotiating trademark licenses and related agreements. She represents clients in the media and entertainment industry.

Before joining Arent Fox, Courtenay was an IP associate in the New York office of a prominent international law firm and served as Director of Admission for the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to law school, she worked in publishing and taught English in Ghana.

Courtenay was a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Copyright Society, International Trademark Association (INTA), and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
