Christopher Bowen is an associate in the Government Contracts Group at Arent Fox. Christopher’s practice includes litigation in the United States Court of Federal Claims, from bid protests to contract disputes. He also assists in bid protests before the Government Accountability Office as well as contract claims brought before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals. He further assists with providing due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Previous WorkPrior to joining Arent Fox, Christopher worked at the United States Department of Justice, Civil Division, National Courts Section. His prior experience included arguing numerous appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, including Englewood Terrace Limited Partnership v. United States, Resource Conservation Group LLC v. United States I, and II, Boye et al v. United States, Armstrong v. Department of the Treasury I and II, and Council v. Office of Personnel Management. He also argued numerous motions to dismiss before the United States Court of Federal Claims, including Doe v. United States, AEY, Inc. v. United States, Hallmark Phoenix 3, LLC v. United States, Resource Conservation Group LLC v. United States, MED Trends, Inc. v. United States, and Boye et al. v. United States. He further wrote the brief filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Rothe Development Inc. v. United States Department of Defense and United States Department of the Air Force. He also previously worked at a large international law firm specializing in antitrust and white-collar defense. From 2007-2008, Christopher clerked for the Honorable Diane Sykes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Professional ActivitiesChristopher is on the Executive Committee for the Corporations, Securities, and Antitrust Practice Group of the Federalist Society. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Circuit Bar Association. Life Beyond the LawChristopher is fluent in German, Russian, and Latin. When not working, Christopher enjoys fencing and baseball. He is married and lives in Arlington, Virginia.
