Nonprofit Real Estate and Financing: Opportunities and Pitfalls Confronting Nonprofits in a Challenging Environment

The recession has dramatically altered the business landscape for many nonprofits in New York – both for the better and the worse. In the face of decreasing government and philanthropic support, dramatic changes in demand for services, investment losses and dislocations in the financial and real estate markets, nonprofits are confronting challenges on multiple fronts. At the same time, the cost of real estate and rents have fallen dramatically, and the value of real estate tax exemption is expected to rise. Yesterday’s real estate solutions may not be today’s. This conference is intended to
help nonprofit executives make informed real estate decisions in today’s challenging and changed environment.
