Maulin has worked on various types of intellectual property matters such as computer software and hardware matters, in addition to electrical engineering matters. He focuses his practice primarily on preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications. Previous Work Prior to joining Arent Fox, Maulin was an associate at a boutique IP firm. While there, he performed IP due diligence and counseled clients in the development of IP strategies that would foster the development of a patent portfolio. He also worked for six years as a patent examiner for the Unites States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where he performed basic, advanced, and legal patent examining functions for the USPTO.
