Arent Fox is currently responsible for more than 42,000 active trademark applications and registrations worldwide.  More specifically, we are responsible for more than 13,200 marks in North America, 6,700 marks in South America, 8,800 marks in Europe, and 10,750 marks in Asia. We are also responsible for more than 1,600 marks in Australia and more than 1,250 marks in Africa and the Middle East.

In addition, we are responsible for more than 1,300 formal trademark enforcement matters, i.e., oppositions, cancellations and litigation (approximately 220 US and 1,090 foreign), not including Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) filings. Moreover, we have approximately 35 trademark lawsuits and 180 open “cease and desist” trademark matters pending at this time.

Arent Fox attorneys have been engaged with respect to approximately 3,000 trademark clearance searches over the past two years alone. We estimate that approximately 15 percent or more of these clearances involved international data, including in Latin America, South America, and Asia.
