David G. Bayles

David focuses his practice on the litigation of intellectual property rights, especially trademarks and copyrights.

David also handles other complex civil litigation matters and he has experience prosecuting trademark applications and defending registered marks before the USPTO and the TTAB. 

Previous Work

David served as a judicial clerk to judges Donald Eyre and Steven Hansen of the Fourth District Court for the State of Utah and later as deputy county counsel for Summit County, Utah. His duties for Summit County included advising the board of county commissioners and the Snyderville Planning Commission — bodies governing land use development near Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts.

Professional Activities

David is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, Los Angeles Chapter.

Publications, Presentations & Recognitions

David was named a “Rising Star” by the Southern California edition of Super Lawyers magazine for 2005.

Life Beyond the Law

David was an Academic All-American for the Brigham Young University baseball team, starting at first base for two years. His wife, Lonna Stacey Bayles, was a four-year All-American and National Champion swimmer for the University of Southern California. David and Lonna are the proud parents of six children.
