Dave is an Attorney in the Intellectual Property department.

Dave is a registered patent attorney with experience in preparing and procuring US and foreign/international patent applications in wireless communications, computer software, hardware and networks, electronics, semi-conductor fabrication, fuel dispensers, fuel cells, alternate energy sources, and other various technology areas.

Dave also has experience in providing analyses of open-source software license compliance and offering steps to license compliance in the contexts of corporate mergers and product sales.

Client Work

Dave has assisted a variety of Fortune 500 corporations, non-profit organizations, and start-ups in attaining desired intellectual property protection. In addition, Dave has conducted IP portfolio analyses and management, performed patent infringement and validity studies, and led forward patenting sessions for various clients.

Previous Work

Before rejoining ArentFox Schiff, Dave worked at a large general practice firm in the Carolinas. Prior to this, he also worked as a software engineer for Reuters (now Thompson Reuters).

Professional Activities

Dave is an active member of the Carolina Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law Association, and the American Bar Association.
