Dean A. Roy
Dean has experience handling a variety of complex real estate transactions, ranging from the purchase and sale of individual properties to multi-state portfolios including senior living facilities, multi-family apartments, office buildings, retail, and mixed use centers, as well as leasing and development matters. Dean also represents clients in financing transactions, particularly in the multi-family and senior living space, including acquisition, construction, and mezzanine loans and preferred equity arrangements. Dean’s corporate experience includes the representation of both public and private companies ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining Arent Fox, Dean served in the Office of General Counsel at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and worked at a boutique and global business law firm managing complex real estate and corporate matters. Before graduating from law school, Dean worked as an analyst at an international consulting firm and served as an officer in the US Navy.
