Jasjit S. Vidwan
Jasjit has served as a lead associate on a number of patent litigations before the US District Courts and the Patent Trial and Board (PTAB) involving computer and electrical technology. Jasjit also serves on the AIPLA Patent Litigation Committee and the PTAB Trial Committee.
In addition to the patent litigation practice, Jasjit has extensive experience preparing patent applications and conducting IP due diligence for corporate transfers. Over the course of his career, he has drafted over hundred patent applications in a variety of technology areas. He is particularly knowledgeable in the fields of wireless communications, digital signal processing, and computer software. Jasjit has also served as a lead associate on due diligence projects for IP transactions, including a multi-billion dollar acquisition for a Fortune 500 company.
Prior to joining Arent Fox, Jasjit was a patent agent and subsequently an associate at a national law firm. Before law school, Jasjit served as a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for eight years prosecuting patent applications in fields of data storage and computer peripherals.
While in law school, Jasjit interned at the US International Trade Commission, Office of the General Counsel focusing on section 337 patent litigation.
Life Beyond the Law
Jasjit enjoys tennis and golf. He is also working on his private pilot license.
