Jonas Hodges, Patent partner

Jonas focuses his practice on patent law, including patent preparation, patent prosecution, and infringement and invalidity opinions, and it involves electrical, mechanical, and software technologies. Jonas specializes in a variety of technologies, including 5G NR, 4G LTE, transistor layout, digital circuits, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, neural networks, medical devices, and lithium ion batteries. Jonas works extensively with both US and Chinese companies, including a number of Fortune 500 companies and large Chinese companies.

Previous Work

Prior to joining Arent Fox, Jonas was an associate with a boutique Southern California law firm and has worked as a patent attorney involving patent prosecution in software, electrical, and mechanical arts.

After earning his master’s degree in electrical engineering, Jonas entered a PhD program in applied mathematics but left after one year to accept a position with Motorola, where he worked as an electrical and software engineer. After a number of years there, Jonas joined Intel, where he designed and wrote software for electrical engineering applications.
