Max’s practice focuses on international arbitration and dispute resolution, including the representation of states and investors before international forum, e.g. the World Bank’s International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and sovereigns in maritime boundary disputes. He provides advice in connection with cross-border commercial disputes involving francophone states in Africa.
Max also assists French-speaking clients of the firm in a wide range of matters relating to business transactions in the US and represents American clients in their overseas activities in francophone nations, as well as before French courts.

Prior to joining Arent Fox, Max was a member of the Georgetown Law Externship Program and worked in the international arbitration departments of several prominent law firms in Paris.
