Morgan R. Pankow
Morgan focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes involving both businesses and health care providers. As a member of the COVID-19 Task Force, he has written multiple pieces about potential legal issues stemming from the pandemic, especially those involving the Paycheck Protection Program. Morgan is also part of a team representing a large group of landowners seeking compensation from the federal government for the taking of their private property.
Morgan served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Rossie D. Alston, Jr., in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of Virginia. Prior to clerking for Judge Alston, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable William T. Newman, Jr. in the Arlington County Circuit Court.
While attending law school at night, Morgan worked in the Arlington County Circuit Court as a Deputy Clerk for five years, assisting the judges in court on a daily basis. Before that, he served as a Marshal’s Aide in the Supreme Court of the United States, observing over 100 oral arguments from the most exclusive position in the courtroom – directly behind the Justices.
