Phil English Quoted in Financial Times on Trade Policy Under Trump Administration
Former Representative (R-PA) and Arent Fox Senior Government Relations Advisor Phil English was quoted in the article “Trump Win Gives China Keys to Asian Economic Integration” in the Financial Times.
The article provides an analysis of possible changes to trade policy and the likely consequences under a Trump Administration. Various trade agreements are on the table as President-elect Trump pushes to re-examine existing deals in order to make them more beneficial for the US. “The US has been positioning itself to be the good guy of trade and open markets since World War Two. I think now the US needs to discuss how it has been dealt serious disadvantages,” said Mr. English.
