Phil English Talks Tax Reform with Bloomberg BNA

In the Bloomberg BNA article “House Expected to Move Tax Revamp First; Senate to Act Later,” President-elect Donald Trump’s tax policy is discussed at length.
House Republicans are already working on legislation to be introduced early next year, based largely on the tax reform blueprint Trump’s campaign released in June.

The plan is touted as pro-growth tax reform by Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, though questions remain on the policy’s potential budget impact. Arent Fox Senior Government Relations Advisor and former US Congressman Phil English notes that “although Brady has made bipartisan overtures, the House tax bill isn’t expected to reflect many ideas from the other side of the aisle, and that won’t hurt House passage prospects.
