Arent Fox Named To Cardinal Health Alliance’s 2008 Diversity Honor Roll
WASHINGTON, DC – Arent Fox LLP is proud to announce that Cardinal Health Alliance has recognized our firm for our outstanding commitment to promoting diversity in the legal profession, naming Arent Fox to the 2008 Cardinal Health Alliance Diversity Honor Roll.
Arent Fox partners Rich Berman and Murat Ozgu were on hand at a ceremony held in Dublin, Ohio to accept the award from Cardinal Health’s chief legal officer Ivan Fong and managing counsel Jessica L. Mayer.
Being named to the 2008 Cardinal Health Alliance Diversity Honor Roll is the latest recognition of ongoing Arent Fox’s commitment to a diverse workplace.
In August, Arent Fox was named as one of the 2008 Best Law Firms for Women by Working Mother magazine, the authoritative source for career mothers, and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC, a national consulting firm advising attorneys and legal employers on work/life balance. Arent Fox was recognized as one of only 50 law firms in the nation that have, according to Working Mother and Flex-Times Lawyers, “redefined the standards of success by creating a workplace that encourages the retention and advancement of women.”
That same month, Arent Fox also earned the top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Arent Fox joined the ranks of 259 other major US businesses which get top marks for their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and consumers. Arent Fox is one of only 64 law firms in the United States to achieve a perfect score in the 2009 CEI.
“Arent Fox’s commitment to diversity is one of our greatest strengths,” said Marc Fleischaker, chairman of the Washington, DC-based law firm. “Arent Fox has established firmwide policies to ensure our firm creates and maintains an inclusive environment for all our members. We are immensely pleased that our ongoing efforts have resulted in this recognition by such a highly valued client as Cardinal Health.”
