Paul Williams Selected for Affordable Housing & Municipal Fiscal Health Advisory Panels
Recently, Paul Williams was selected to participate on two panels in an advisory role—an affordable housing panel run by Chairman of the Assembly Housing Committee and the Municipal Fiscal Health Working Group established by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.
The affordable housing panel was created by Chairman of the Assembly Housing Committee, Keith Wright, in order to inform the Emergency Affordable Housing Construction Act. The panel will explore all finance models and determine the best and most sustainable method to provide affordable housing opportunities for residents with low to middle-range area median incomes. They will also be tasked with offering a workforce component that creates fair-paying jobs and quality housing for New Yorkers of all backgrounds. To read the full press release, click here.
The Municipal Fiscal Health Working Group was established by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in an effort to elevate the importance of municipal fiscal health as a strategic priority on a global scale, following well-established cases of fiscal insolvency in the United States and abroad. The working group will meet regularly throughout the year to facilitate productive exchanges related to municipal fiscal health among practitioners, government leaders, academic experts, and private sector shareholders. Its first meeting will take place on February 4, 2016.
