Life Sciences Counsel Brian Malkin is the keynote speaker of the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research’s Medical Devices in Academic Research Symposium on October 16, 2019. Brian will also moderate a panel discussion during the event.

Designed for investigators, regulatory experts, and study teams, the symposium will cover new developments in the medical device regulatory landscape and discuss the benefits and challenges that medical device technology has brought to investigator-initiated research. Brian’s keynote presentation will open the symposium with an analysis of the new challenges of in vitro diagnostics.

Following the keynote session, Brian will moderate a panel discussion titled “Regulatory Challenges of Precision Medicine.” The panel is comprised of Assistant Professor of Pathology Daniel Boyer, MD, and Division Chief of Genetic Medicine Goutham Narla, MD, PhD.
