Ghosn Denied Bail; Civil Lawsuit Looms

A Tokyo District Court has denied Carlos Ghosn’s request for release on bail.

The former Nissan chairman has been held in a Japanese detention facility for nearly two months, charged with a host of financial crimes.  The Court’s decision on Tuesday marks another challenge for Mr. Ghosn, and adds to speculation that he may soon be removed as chairman and CEO of Renault.
