Linda Jackson Quoted in Society for Human Resource Management Article
Complex Litigation partner, Linda Jackson, was interviewed for an article titled, “OFCCP Awarded Access to Some Personal Contact Information at Google,” which talked about how in its ongoing audit of the compensation practices at Google, Google was able to limit the amount of information to which the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) had access.
For example, the OFCCP was limited in the timeframe for which it sought salary history information and was granted information for 5,000 rather than 25,000 workers. The decision “closes the door on an ‘anything goes’ compliance audit,” Linda said. “It closes the door on the concept that the OFCCP is in 100-percent control of the information request process.” She went on to recommend that companies should “Continue to be cooperative” with the OFCCP when it conducts investigations, but that there is a limit.
