Arent Fox Advises Pupatella Management on $7.5 Million Capital Raise
The capital raise, which will enable Pupatella to expand its presence in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, is the second capital raise for Pupatella Management. In a strong vote of confidence for the company’s leadership team (Enzo and Anastasiya Algarme, Cord Thomas, Michael Berger, and Adam Winder), nearly every investor from round one chose to participate in round two.
Pupatella launched in 2007 as a food cart serving Neapolitan pies. The restaurant, which opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Ballston in 2010, serves pizza certified by the Italian trade group Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana. The company opened new locations in Dupont Circle and Reston during 2020. Since then, the company has grown to five restaurants and has plans to open more than a dozen restaurants in the coming years.
