John joins the firm’s New York office, bringing nearly four decades of experience representing clients on a broad array of insurance and reinsurance transactional, regulatory, and counseling matters, both nationally and globally. His work includes advising clients on compliance, corporate governance, insurance-linked financings, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, securities, and captive programs.

Prior to joining Arent Fox, John was a partner at an AmLaw 200 firm. He earned his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He also holds an LLM in International Law from the London School of Economics and a BS magna cum laude from Bucknell University.
Accompanying John to Arent Fox from his prior firm is Senior Counsel Richard G. Liskov, a former Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel of the New York State Insurance Department, who has also taught insurance regulatory law at Columbia Law School and Boston University School of Law.
