Arent Fox Continues Expansion of Insurance & Reinsurance Group with Addition of Counsel Mark Fragner
Arent Fox is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Insurance & Reinsurance practice with the addition of Counsel Mark S. Fragner, former General Counsel at KBIC’s US Branch.
Mark most recently served as General Counsel and Director of Compliance and Internal Audit at the US branch of KB Insurance Co. He was also previously the Associate General Counsel for multinational/commercial insurance at AIG.
“I am personally thrilled to welcome Mark to Arent Fox,” said Partner Elliott Kroll, who leads the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance practice. “Mark and I worked together years ago at a boutique firm I chaired, and it will be a pleasure to work alongside this talented, forward-thinking lawyer again.”
Mark has demonstrated success litigating, arbitrating, and mediating complex insurance, reinsurance, and commercial disputes, and has established capabilities in designing, negotiating, documenting, and implementing innovative multinational insurance, reinsurance, and business transactions as well as compliance and internal audit programs. His experience also includes helping clients navigate risk management, corporate, transactional, compliance, contracts, regulatory, coverage, claims, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and international law.
“Mark has a stellar reputation for achieving long term success for the organizations and clients he advises,” said Partner Jule Rousseau. “He will be an incredible asset to our clients, and I am pleased to welcome him to our team.”
Before going in-house at KBIC and AIG, Mark was a partner at two boutique insurance law firms in New York City for 20 years. He received his JD from Boston University School of Law and his BA with high honors from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
The Insurance & Reinsurance group recently expanded with the addition of Partner John Sarchio and Senior Counsel Richard Liskov, who was previously the Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel for the New York State Insurance Department — now the New York State Department of Financial Services.
