Arent Fox Counsels Domino’s Pizza Group in the Acquisition of Interest in Nordic Franchises

WASHINGTON, DC - Arent Fox LLP announced today that it advised Domino’s Pizza Group plc in the acquisition of a significant minority interest in the master franchises that operate the international pizza brand in Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Domino’s Pizza Group is the master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in the UK, Northern Ireland and Switzerland, as well a joint venture partner in Germany.

Partner Jay L. Halpern and associate Amal U. Dave advised Domino’s Pizza Group on the £24 million transaction that will give the UK-based pizza company a 49 percent ownership in Iceland and an effective interest of 45 percent in the Norwegian and Swedish businesses. The agreement allows for the company to buy the remaining shares between 2020 and 2023.
