Arent Fox Named Unsecured Creditors Committee Counsel in Two Separate Bankruptcy Proceedings
Arent Fox was selected as counsel for the unsecured creditors committee in the Chapter 11 case of Colorado-based debt collector SquareTwo Financial Corporation. SquareTwo Financial Corporation—together with its subsidiaries—acquires, manages, and collects charged-off consumer and commercial accounts receivables primarily in the United States and Canada. More specifically, the company purchases accounts receivables from financial institutions, finance and leasing companies, and other issuers. On March 19, 2017, SquareTwo Financial Corporation filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Arent Fox will serve as counsel for the unsecured creditors committee in the Chapter 11 case of Humble Surgical Hospital of Texas. Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC operates as a multi-specialty surgical hospital. It offers surgical services in the areas of ENT, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry, plastics, pain management, chiropractics, spine, and gastroenterology. On February 24, 2017, Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
